H-Kayne is a ground-breaking Moroccan hip-hop group formed in Meknes, Morocco in 1996. The group consists of members Adil Sif Lssane, Hatim HB2, Azzedine Ter-Hoor, and Otmane. Their debut album "1 Son du Bled'Art" was released in 2000. They have contributed great efforts to make rap music popular in the Morrocan scene, notably with titles like Issawa Style, F’mo Hadak, Ya Dania, FL’Houma and H-K Kima Dima. H-Kayne blends western beats with traditional Moroccan instruments and tunes, lyrically speaking out against corruption and freedom. In 2003, they took part in a Moroccan contest, Boulevard des Jeunes Musiciens (BJM), and won the first prize for the category of rap/hip-hop. The band made history in 2005 when they became the first rap group from Morocco to be signed to a major record label, Platinum Records. H-Kayne continues to be the headlining hip-hop group at all Morocco’s major music festivals.
