Dina is an Egyptian singer and musician born and raised in Cairo where she was greatly inspired by the heritage and identity of the city. She studied Oriental Literature and specialized in Turkish and Persian literature at Cairo University. She graduated in 2008. Dina discovered her passion for music at the age of 19. That is when she joined "El Warsha Theater Troupe" where she acquired the knowledge of singing all kinds of traditional music, starting with "El Sira El Hilalayia" to the classics of the 1920s. Along with her tutor Maged Soliman, she recognized the potentials of her voice and how to use it. She performed with Soliman in "Habayebna" band where they performed El Sheikh Imam songs as well as other folklore songs. To further sharpen her talent, Dina participated in numerous musical workshops and training with the Grammy Award winner, Fathy Salama and other independent music groups in Egypt and beyond. All of those experiences developed her musical background, introducing her to different genres and enriched her musical culture.
