She was born in Kuwait in 1981. She has been fed all her childhood with traditional Arabic music and has a voice that carries all its soul. She studied political science sciences then switched to law at the Lebanese University. Hiba describes her life as a musical journey influenced by classical Arabic songs and music from the 1950’s and 1960’s. She now creates a sound that is far from being considered traditional Arabic or Oriental music, but is rather a new kind of dub rooted in strong melodies. She used to work with Zeid Hamdan, composer, songwriter and music producer, for more than three years. In 2007, she went touring in England where she did many concerts in London, gates head, new castle and Cambridge. She also participated in the SOS festival in Egypt and the boulevard festival in Morocco, and many more, Tunisia, Jordan, Syria, Greece, Germany and more… Hiba was an underground vocalist until Mr. Jihad El Murr heard her music and decided to help her publishing and signed her with MTV Lebanon (Murr TV). Since then, she launched two video clips: Fog al nakhel (mowasha7) in 2010 and Sulayma (an old song by Zakia Hamdan) in 2011.
